What is VERA?
VERA stands for the Visitor Engagement Reporting Application. It’s an official VA online tool that lets veterans and stakeholders schedule, reschedule, or cancel in-person or virtual appointments with their local Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Regional Office Public Contact Team.
Veterans can choose to speak with VA staff about their claims, benefits questions, and other VA services either by phone or in person by using the VERA scheduling portal instead of calling the general VA hotline (1-800-827-1000).
Direct Access for Veterans
Embedding or linking VERA gives our site visitors a single place to go to schedule appointments with the VA, removing confusion and extra steps.
Improves User Experience
Many veterans struggle with VA contact methods. VERA provides a self-service scheduling tool that’s easier and more efficient than waiting on hold with the general VA call center.
Enhances Credibility and Value
When users see that our site offers direct links to official VA tools, it builds trust — especially for veterans navigating complex benefits systems.
Supports Your Mission
The purpose of our site is to help veterans understand or manage their benefits, VERA is a practical, action-oriented resource that can connect them directly to VA personnel who can answer questions or clarify claim status.
Official and Legitimate Resource
Even though the URL doesn’t end in va.gov, VERA is linked from official VA Regional Office pages and is part of how the VA engages with veterans locally.
